storytelling through fine art photography
Lives Revisited
When I was a child, my family would pack into the station wagon and take long trips.
I was usually sandwiched between my two brothers to keep the peace. Once we got
going, my mother would begin a story and then turn it over to someone who would
contribute to it. We continued composing the story line which was sometimes
humorous and nonsensical until it was complete. It was amazing how quickly the time
would go and laughter would almost always ensue.
The impact of these fragmented, pulled-together stories are an inspiration to
create photo montages. I used bits and pieces from vintage photographs along
with my own to develop storylines.
These montages are just a wild tale of fabrication.
It is my way of visually telling a contemporary 'car tale.'
